Joseph Mallord William Turner

(1775 – 1851)

One of most celebrated landscape artists of light and colour.

J.M.W Turner became known as the 'the painter of light'.

He lived at No.119 Cheyne Walk on Chelsea Embankment where he would watch the sunrise over the Thames from his rooftop balcony.
